Takjil Supervision in Central Jakarta Begins Second Week

The Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-agency (KPKP) is slated to intensify supervision of takjil (light snack to break the fast in Ramadhan) in Central Jakarta starting the second week of March 2025.

We're waiting for the Mayor's direction

Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Penty Yunesi Pudyastuti said that in the first week of this month, his party would only focus on monitoring the locations of takjil sales centers.

"Even though there are big locations, we make sure there are no new locations in that first week," she expressed, Sunday (3/2).

Based on previous years' experience, there are two locations for selling takjil spread across Bendungan Hilir Market, Tanah Abang Sub-district and Taman Segitiga Sub-district, Jalan Johar Baru Utara, Johar Baru Sub-district.

In 2024, supervision was intensified at the two locations together with the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BBPOM) and Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes).

She added this was aimed at ensuring that the food sold by takjil sellers met health requirements and did not contain medically hazardous substances.

"We're waiting for the Mayor's direction so that the entire process is integrated. We will definitely start it the second week," she said.
